We are pleased to announce that SJS Consulting, a company of the SJS Group, has successfully completed an important international assignment carried out in collaboration with EY Advisory S.p.A., supporting D-Marin, one of the leading premium marina operators across the Mediterranean and the EMEA region.
SJS Consulting performed Technical Due Diligence activities across marinas located in Greece, Croatia, and Italy, under the technical direction of Ing. Michelangelo Lentini, including:
- On-site technical inspections;
- Assessment of seaside, landside and boatyard infrastructure;
- ESG compliance assessment;
- Evaluation of digital infrastructure;
- Identification of key technical risks and red flags;
- Development of CAPEX investment plans.
The assignment was delivered within an exceptionally dynamic market environment. Today, the Mediterranean accounts for approximately 70% of global yachting activity, while the growing demand for berths — particularly for Mega Yachts and Superyachts — continues to outpace the limited availability of new marina capacity. In this context, Technical Due Diligence plays a fundamental role in supporting informed investment decisions and the sustainable development of marina infrastructure.
The multidisciplinary capabilities of SJS Consulting — spanning integrated engineering, project management and design verification — allowed the Group to act as a single point of reference throughout the technical and strategic assessment of the marina assets involved.
SJS Consulting provided independent technical support to the Technical Due Diligence activities performed as part of the evaluation process of D-Marin’s marina portfolio, contributing to the technical basis for strategic investment decisions associated with one of the most significant transactions recently announced in the international premium marina sector.
