A historic milestone for the Livorno Tourist Port: the “Barca Porta” relocation successfully completed!
The completion of one of the most delicate and symbolic phases of the new Livorno Tourist Port project — the relocation of the dry dock of Bacino Piccolo floating gate — marks a true turning point in the transformation of the port area. This highly complex technical operation stands as a testament to precision engineering and coordinated teamwork.
Porta a Mare S.p.A., represented by Project Manager Eng. G. Sabato and Project Supervisor Eng. Michelangelo Lentini, coordinated the activities brilliantly carried out by the contractor JV led by EDINFRA, supported by BETTARINI A. E FIGLI S.r.l., under the close supervision of PR.I.MA. Ingegneria STP, in its role as Construction Supervision and Safety Coordinator (CSE), ensuring accuracy, safety, and execution quality throughout the entire process.
This significant operation marks a major step toward the full functionality of the new marina, which will be ready to welcome its first boats by February 2026.
A fundamental achievement for the city of Livorno and for the enhancement of its waterfront – where engineering, vision, and territory come together in a project of excellence.
